Instead of attempting to do it myself, I collaborated with Vasari and they taught me SO much about limewash paint including six surprising things that blew my mind.

But first, let’s take a look at the before and after photos of my home.

Before

The wall colours of my home have been the same since my husband and I moved in six years ago. It’s a basic white with a slight grey undertone. Nothing special.

While I do love the simplicity of it, we live in an apartment with green-tinted glass windows (which we can’t change unfortunately) and the tint from the windows can make the walls look a little cold and sterile.

After

I chose Vasari Lime Paint in Linen White (LP20) for the living area.

Despite the ‘white’ in its name, this colour is NOT white. It’s a subtle beige colour with a neutral undertone. Not too bright and not too dark.

This colour does make my living area look smaller, but it also changes the whole mood of the space. The living area definitely looks more cozy, warm, and inviting now.

If you’re wondering why one wall (and the ceiling!) is not painted, well… it was an honest mistake. I simply forgot to include the wall when the Vasari team came and took measurements.

I’m not fussed about them though since not every wall in our open concept apartment is covered in lime paint.

It feels like an intentional design decision, even though it truly wasn’t!

The dining room went through the biggest transformation and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

Since the living and dining area share the same space, I used the same Linen White (LP20) paint for the dining area to make everything look cohesive.

The previous look was bright and airy, which felt very tropical. But once the Vasari team painted the walls, I instantly knew I wanted a moody dining room.

It took me over a year to find (and purchase!) the right furniture and artwork, but it was definitely worth the wait.

I’m in love with my dining area, it might just be my new favourite room in the entire home!

For the large blank wall facing the dining area, I chose the Vasari Lime Paint in Almond (LP25), a darker and deeper shade with a warm undertone.

I’ve always saved this wall for a gallery wall, so I felt it needed a warmer and bolder colour to make the frames pop.

I wanted something completely different for my bedroom, so I went with the Vasari Lime Paint in Olive (LP18).

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive because I was worried the green hue from the paint and the tint from the windows will make the room look washed out.

Thankfully, it didn’t, on the contrary, the bedroom looks so warm, cozy, and homey. Exactly what I was hoping for!

Since I initially wanted a feature wall, this was the only wall in the bedroom that was painted.

I regret not painting the entire bedroom; it would have made the transformation even more major!

Six Surprising Things I Learned About Limewash Paint

1. Limewash is a watered down version of lime paint

Before I embarked on my lime paint journey, I always thought lime paint and limewash were the same.

I even used these terms interchangeably until I found out that limewash is a watered down version of lime paint.

The main difference between lime paint and lime wash is the level of viscosity or thickness of the paint.

I ended up using lime paint (not limewash) because lime paint has a thicker mineral consistency, which makes it easier to work with and to get the texture I want.

Although I love the cloudy texture of limewash, I find that it can look overpowering, especially in open or small areas.

Plus, I wasn’t sure if it’ll look dated in a couple of years.

Since lime paint is not cheap, I opted for minimal texture to fully appreciate the subtle nuances and movement of the paint without it feeling overwhelming.

2. You need to prep your walls before applying limewash paint

It is SO important to prep your walls before applying lime paint. Otherwise, you’re not going to achieve the limewash results you want.

First, you’ll have to clean your walls to remove any dirt, dust, grease and grime. If you have any holes, make sure to fill them and sand them down.

Then, you’ll need to apply a primer before going over with lime paint.

If you are painting new or previously painted drywall, you MUST apply a mineral primer first and give it at least 24 hours to dry.

This provides a porous base for the limewash so it sticks onto your wall properly.

3. You don’t have to use a sealer after the limewash process

Some brands recommend finishing off the limewash or lime paint process with a mineral sealer or a wax.

Sealing your walls will make them waterproof, which means your walls will be protected from stains. However…

Sealing your walls may not be the best idea.

Sealing your lime paint walls can increase the sheen of the finish. And, it can change the appearance of the lime paint colour too.

Although lime paint is all-natural, most sealers are not and contain many non-biodegradable chemicals, which can be dangerous to us and the environment.

Besides that, once a sealer goes on the surface, you’ll need to apply a primer again if you want to repaint your walls in a few years.

4. DIY limewash? It’s not as simple as it looks

It’s important to do your own research if you’re attempting to limewash your walls without professional help.

The Vasari team gave me a hands-on lesson but I still found it challenging to control the texture and colour of lime paint.

One valuable lesson that stuck with me was that using a brush creates less texture whereas using a sponge produces more texture.

You may also need several coats to get the desired effect you want.

5. Limewash paint becomes lighter as it dries

Wet lime paint looks a lot darker when it is first applied.

When lime paint starts to dry, you’ll notice that it will become much lighter.

I discovered that lime paint looks best when you finish an entire wall in one go instead of taking breaks.

If you don’t complete a wall in one session, the paint can appear patchy and uneven.

To get the best results, it’s key to apply it evenly in consistent strokes and finish entire sections without pausing.

6. You cannot achieve perfection with limewash paint

Lime paint is beautiful, but it is unpredictable especially for newbies.

Unlike traditional paint, you’ll find that it’s almost impossible to achieve standard results with lime paint due to its natural textured finish.

But, the variations in colour and texture are what makes lime paint so appealing.

You may not be able to get a flawless, smooth surface but you’ll definitely have a beautifully-aged authentic look that is unique to your home.

How to style coffee table books in 3 simple steps

Step 1: Choose your coffee table books

Choose a color scheme

If you don’t own any coffee table books, take a moment to choose a color scheme before you purchase them.

Look at the main colors in your home and choose a similar color or a complementary color to achieve a cohesive look.

If you’re not sure which colors to get, you can buy neutral coffee table books with white, beige, brown, and black covers. These go nicely with most interior styles.

Remove book sleeves

Alternatively, you can always remove the paper book sleeves to reveal the books’ hardcovers.

The book covers are normally solid-colored with a bit of texture, which helps to create a clean look.

Step 2: Stack and arrange your coffee table books

Gather 3 coffee table books and place the largest book at the bottom.

Stack the smaller books on top. The smallest book should be on top of the pile.

Step 3: Style your coffee table books

Now, you can layer your coffee table books with decorative items.

You can add 1-2 small decor pieces like a candle, picture frame, or brass tray on top of the coffee table book stack.

Bigger decor pieces like a vase, bowl, or sculptural piece can be placed at the side of the book stack.

It is essential to layer items with different sizes and heights as this creates visual interest.

Don’t forget to add plants or flowers to your final look. Anything to do with nature will immediately soften and brighten the entire area.

Where can you decorate your coffee table books?

Living room

I’m sure when you think of coffee table books, you immediately think of placing them on the coffee table.

The coffee table is no doubt the best place to display all of your coffee table books.

Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they make good conversation starters.

Plus, they allow your guests to get a glimpse of who you are as a person and what your interests are.

Square coffee table

First, divide your table into quadrants.

You can use one quadrant to stack 3-5 coffee table books.

With this approach, you can fill the other three quadrants with other decorative pieces like floral or greenery arrangements, catch-all bowls or trays, and candles.

Besides that, you can place your coffee book stacks on two opposite quadrants and decorate the empty quadrants with circular objects.

Or, you can place a coffee table book stack in all quadrants if you have a lot of coffee table books.

For this arrangement, you should keep other decorative items to a minimum to keep the entire look sleek and modern.

A large round vase filled with fresh or faux greenery will complete the styling.

If you have a large square table, consider adding an acrylic book stand or holder to display your favorite coffee table book.

Rectangular coffee table

Divide your table into three equal zones.

If you want the coffee table books to be the star of the show, stack 3 to 4 of them and place them in the middle.

You can use a rectangular tray on either side of the table to hold decorative bins where you can conceal remotes in them.

On the other side, you can also play around with different heights and add candlestick holders or a tall vase.

Round coffee table

Think of your space as a triangle. This gives you three corners to style.

Fill one corner with a stack of coffee table books, one corner with a vase and stems, and the final corner with a large candle.

The trick is to play with different heights so you can create balance throughout the space.

You can also add a circular object or a sculptural item to your coffee table stack for more visual interest.

Entryway

The entryway is the first area people will see in your home, making it the perfect start to introduce your interior style via coffee table books.

Use 3-4 coffee table books to create a stack in the middle or at one side of the entryway console.

You can also create two stacks of two coffee table books each and place them next to each other.

Then, you can add bigger decor items like a lamp, a mirror, or a huge piece of artwork.

Shelves

Coffee table books are one of my must-haves when it comes to styling shelves.

You can use up to 6 books per stack and you can stack them horizontally or vertically.

Plus, you can also place vertical and horizontal stacks next to each other for added visual appeal.

For vertical stacks, you can line book spines with the front edge of the shelf.

If the book spines are in random colors, turn them the other way around for a cohesive look.

You can also use marble or ceramic book ends to hold up a vertical book stack. This will elevate the entire look.

Layer in other decorative items like vases, baskets, pillar candles, and picture frames among your coffee table book stacks.

The key to tying everything together is to pick a similar color scheme and use different textures like rattan, stone, brass, and fabric.

Nightstand

Create a 3-4 coffee table book stack if you have a nightstand that comes with an open shelf at the bottom.

Otherwise, stick to 1-2 books on the top of the nightstand next to the lamp.

If there’s sufficient space, you can add a candle or a picture frame of your loved ones on top of the book stack.

It’s important not to overcrowd the nightstand, so you have space to add night-time essentials like a pair of reading glasses and a water carafe.

Kitchen

You may think coffee table books don’t belong in the kitchen, but beautiful cookbooks can be considered coffee table books.

If you have shelves in the kitchen, you can stack 2-3 cookbooks or coffee table books horizontally or vertically.

Avoid placing coffee table books on kitchen countertops, as you’ll want to avoid getting any stains or grease on your beautiful books!

You can, however, style your favorite cookbook on a small easel on the counter to display a recipe you love.

Dresser

Since a dresser should be functional, I would advise against placing multiple coffee table book stacks on it.

Instead, focus on having a low book stack of around 3 books on one side of the dresser.

You can place your favorite home fragrance or a decorative tray for your jewelry on top of the book stack.

TV Console

Since the TV console is underneath a TV, make sure to keep the coffee book stacks low to avoid blocking the TV.

Similar to styling a dresser, stick to 1 to 3 coffee table books and place a large candle and its accessories on top of it.

How many coffee table books should you stack?

If you are planning to have a standalone book stack, I recommend using 2-5 coffee table books.

You can use books of different sizes and thickness to create contrast.

Or, you can use similar-sized books with different thicknesses for a balanced look.

Multiple book stacks should be of a similar height to maintain cohesiveness.

However, you should only use 1 to 3 coffee table books if your book stack is going to be a base for other decorative items.

If you have an extra large coffee table book, you can display it on a book stand or holder.

This is a great way to display a large book on any surface and keep it open for easy viewing.

What size of coffee table books should you use?

Generally, a coffee table book is larger than a standard book.

Since their pages mostly consist of pictures, coffee table books need to be big enough to give an attractive visual impact.

The average coffee table book size is around 11″ in length.

How To Style A TV Console Under A TV

Step 1 – Choose the right TV for your space

Chances are, you probably already have a TV, and that’s fine.

But, if you don’t or you’re planning to upgrade, you need to check out the Samsung Frame TV.

The Samsung Frame TV is a television that functions as a TV when it’s switched on and displays artwork or photos when not in use.

All you have to do is press the power button on its remote, and the artwork will fill the blank TV screen.

Sadly, I don’t have a frame TV… but two years ago, I discovered a hack that allows me to display beautiful art on my TV.

Step 2 – Decide on the right placement for your TV

Next, you’ll want to make sure you choose the right placement for your TV.

Don’t underestimate this step! Sometimes the simplest thing can make the biggest impact.

Whenever possible, do not place your TV facing any doors.

You don’t want the TV to be the first thing you see upon entering your home unless it’s beautiful (like the Samsung Frame TV!)

Once you’ve decided where to place your TV, you’ll need to consider if you want to mount it on the wall or place it on top of a TV console.

I highly recommend mounting your TV on the wall.

It just makes make the entire area look super sleek and clean.

Now, if you’re wondering if you should mount it on the center of the wall or keep it off-centered, my answer is: well, it depends!

Are you aiming for a symmetrical look in your home?

If you are, then you should mount your TV in the center of the wall.

But, if you have a modern or eclectic interior style, you can keep your TV off-centered.

The best way to balance asymmetry is by decorating around the TV so that the TV is not the main focus.

Whichever option you choose, remember to mount your TV at the right height. The most common mistake people make is mounting the TV too high. According to Apartment Therapy, the TV looks best mounted six to eight inches above a media console.

Step 3 – Pick the right TV stand for your space

Once you’ve selected the TV and its placement, it’s time to select your media console or TV stand.

Built-in with a bookshelf

I’ve been seeing a lot of people building their TVs into their bookshelves, and I can see the appeal.

Tucking the TV into a bookshelf makes it look like it’s part of the decor, especially when the bookshelves are peppered with interesting trinkets.

Standalone console

If built-ins are not an option, the standalone console is for you.

Your TV may be out in the open, but that doesn’t mean the whole area has to look ugly!

Invest in a beautiful TV console that will elevate your living space.

Make sure to find one that has a hole in the back to allow cords to come out of the console and some closed storage so you can hide all of your other electronic devices.

Step 4 – Conceal the “ugly stuff”

There’s nothing more annoying than looking at a bunch of tangled cords underneath your TV.

I should know, I lived with it for three years!

I finally bought a large water hyacinth basket last month to dump everything in. My only regret is not doing it sooner!

Cords, modems, and other bulky devices should be hidden from plain sight.

Don’t have a media console to conceal them?

Get creative and use baskets, crates, or pretty boxes if you have them.

Step 5 – Decorate around the TV

Don’t fret if your TV is out in the open. You can still make the area look beautiful if you decorate around the TV!

Create a gallery wall

This is by far the most popular decorating tip because it works!

Place your TV off-center and create a gallery wall around it.

Make sure to hang your frames above and around your TV so that your TV looks like it belongs on the wall.

The art around the TV will create visual interest, and the TV will no longer be the area’s main focus.

Paint the wall

Want your TV to blend in?

Try painting the wall behind it!

A dark wall works best, as it gives depth to a room.

You can even go the extra mile and add beadboard paneling to your dark wall.

The overall result is an accent wall that is beautiful AND practical.

Step 6 – Style the console

The final step to putting all the pieces together is to style the TV console.

I like to start with a blank slate so I can experiment with a few different options.

Create balance

The trick to styling any space is to create balance, and the best way to do that for a standalone console is by using symmetry.

Since I have a huge built-in cabinet on one side, I added some height to the other side of my console with a large picture frame.

Although the picture frame is still significantly smaller than the cabinet, they share the same rectangular shape.

I also added more decor items on the same side because I wanted this corner to carry the same visual weight as the cabinet.

Be intentional

Overdecorating is a real thing, people.

I’ve seen people crowd surfaces because they think it makes the area look better.

Newsflash: it doesn’t. It just looks like clutter!

Breathing room is so important when it comes to styling.

That’s why I usually work with six to eight pieces when it comes to styling a surface.

Being intentional with the pieces you display allows people to appreciate them more instead of simply glossing over them. Less is always more!

Besides that, I like using a combination of sizes from large vases and books to small candles and ornaments.

Using different sizes creates contrast and builds visual interest.

Group small accessories together

If you have a lot of smaller accessories, group them in threes.

Then, use a tray, books, or a basket to hold them together.

Trays are an excellent way to keep things organized.

They can also provide another layer of texture to the overall look.

Use greenery

Include greenery in your styling whenever possible.

Real and faux plants soften any hard lines and make any area look cozy.

Plus, they add warmth and a touch of color to a home.

They are one of my favorite things to decorate with, and I had to include them on my TV console!

I love my family home, but I have to admit it’s dated. Besides the structural elements that need repairing, the decor is in desperate need of a refresh.

It’s daunting tackling an old home because there are so many things that need updating. But, I have to be mindful of what I’m choosing to spend because this is an unexpected project that I didn’t budget for.

Besides the financial restrictions, I have to consider my father’s feelings. My late mother decorated our family home. I don’t want to upset or disrespect my parents by changing every single thing.

That being said, my mother did express her desire to renovate the house before she passed. I don’t know what style she would’ve gone for, but I decided our family home should adopt a transitional interior decorating style.

It’s a mix of modern and traditional design elements, which best describes how we feel about my family’s current situation. We want to move forward while honoring my mother’s legacy.

So, the first area I wanted to start redecorating was this little nook in my living room. We have a pretty spacious living area, but this nook is my absolute favorite.

The objective of this living room refresh is to add a contemporary touch without spending a lot of money. Glad to say that I achieved it by following six easy steps!

Anyway, I know some of you may feel like you need a change of scene because you’ve spent the entire year (or more) at home. If you’re considering making small but impactful changes to your living room, I hope my method below helps!

Before

Before we get into the living room refresh reveal, let’s take a look at my living room before the revamp.

Confession: These aren’t the actual before photos. Remember my decluttering and organizing spree? Well, I cleaned and organized the entire house before I decided to redecorate. If you’re wondering what it really looked like before, it’s mostly the same setup except for way messier.

This corner is right by our main door, so the chairs and table were used as a sort of catchall for my family. Think bags, unopened mail, books, and keys!

The only difference is that we had a faux plant on top of the table. I received a beautiful bouquet from my friends that week, so I swapped the plant for the flowers when I took these photos.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate the setup. I actually think it has an old-school charm to it. But, we haven’t replaced the seat covers since we bought the rattan chairs two decades ago. They have faded, and they don’t look as good as they used to be!

After

I didn’t have a design plan when I started this living room refresh. All I knew was that I wanted to reduce visual clutter and replace the seat covers. Besides wanting to inject a modern touch, I also wanted a bright and calm space.

Although I didn’t have a design plan, I used these six steps to achieve the look I wanted. It’s such an easy and straightforward process, and you can definitely use these for any room!

Six steps to achieve a living room refresh

Choose a hero or focus piece

I was actually inspired to redecorate this corner when I stumbled upon this beautiful olive green planter. I loved the color and its rounded edges. When I first saw it, I instantly thought of how beautiful it would look on the glass table.

The faux plant my mother had was looking a little worse for wear. The color had faded, and it was just accumulating dust. I knew it was time to get rid of it and replace it with the wheeler planter, which became the hero piece.

Not sure where to start? I recommend getting your inspiration from a hero piece you’ve been eyeing. A hero or focus piece can be an artwork, a lighting fixture, or even a plant!

Choose a colour scheme

Since I had a small budget for this project, I knew changing the furniture was out of the question. However, changing seat covers meant I could pick a totally new color scheme.

The previous seat covers were a loud print, but I wanted something more neutral this time. I wasn’t planning on changing the curtains. So, whatever color I chose had to complement the curtains. Everything needed to look cohesive.

I finally settled on cream because cream goes with pretty much anything and everything. I knew the planter would add a much-needed pop of color. And, I thought it would be more affordable to add color by swapping cushion covers.

Once I decided on the color, I sent the seats to a local small business to get them reupholstered. I love how the new seat covers brightened up the area instantly.

It’s important to select a color scheme because it dictates the direction you’ll be taking. Color is good, but too much color can make a room feel overwhelming.

Add symmetry to create balance

The easiest way to make a room look more polished is by adding symmetry. This is very common, especially for a traditional or transitional decorating style.

Symmetry is a way to introduce balance within a space. It is achieved when two sides of a room are mirror images of each other. The easiest way to do this is to place two identical pieces of furniture together.

Fortunately, I already had two beautiful rattan chairs I could work with for this area. Since the planter was the focal point, the rattan chairs provided me with beautiful symmetry.

If you don’t have identical furniture, try pairing matching home decor items like candlesticks, wicker baskets, and light sconces.

Include soft furnishings

After changing the seat covers and adding the wheeler, the living area still lacked a couple of things to tie everything together. It needed warmth and comfort, which soft furnishings can provide.

If you’re not familiar with this term, soft furnishings refer to items made out of fabric to decorate a room. They refer to cushions, wall tapestries, and rugs.

Since I already had matching rattan chairs, I chose two different cushion sizes. Symmetry is good, but not everything has to be matchy-matchy!

I wish I could’ve included a rug as well, but I didn’t have the budget for it. Oh well, maybe next time!

Add print or texture to create contrast

Ah, contrast. This is what gives your overall space the “wow” factor. It is what keeps things interesting!

Every space needs contrast, and my living room is no exception. I chose printed cushion covers instead of plain ones because I wanted them to complete the look.

Since I wanted everything to blend cohesively, the cushion covers were a lighter cream color. They did, however, had hints of green to match the green from the planter. One had horizontal stripes, whereas the other had a botanical outline on it.

The botanical cushion cover was a tribute to my mom’s love for flowers. If you look carefully, you’ll see she weaved flowers into the design of the curtains as well.

Consider indoor plants as decor

Finally, introducing plants to any space is a great idea. Besides making the room look great, indoor plants carry a ton of health benefits! According to The Sill, studies have shown that they boost moods, increase creativity, reduce stress, and eliminate air pollutants.

I thought long and hard about adding indoor plants to my family home. We’ve never had an actual plant in the house. All of us had busy schedules and didn’t have time to care for indoor plants.

However, I’m all for indoor plants since I decorated my own apartment with them last year. I genuinely think they’re one of the best ways to decorate a space for cheap!

Since I’m a little more knowledgeable about indoor plants now, I decided to take the plunge and purchase a ZZ plant for the planter. The ZZ plant is truly one of the hardiest plants, and it’s the perfect plant for people who travel often like yours truly!

This is the first real plant we’ve had inside the house, and hopefully it won’t be the last one.

The best part about this living room refresh is that it cost less than USD150! Here’s a breakdown below…

My mother kept her best tableware and glassware in the china cabinet.

But over time, the rest of us started dumping our mail, random trinkets, and even medication inside the china cabinet.

It was a convenient spot for all the small things that didn’t have a home in our house.

After many years of being a dumping ground, the china cabinet is looking like an eyesore.

Our china cabinet has been around for three decades, but it is still a stunning piece of furniture.

It just needed a little help to make it look fresh again, so I finally decided to restyle it and I couldn’t be happier with the final result!

How to style a china cabinet

When it comes to styling, I love to scour my home first to see if there’s anything I can use before I shop for new pieces.

Whenever possible, I highly encourage you to shop within your own house first.

Remember, you can always recycle or repurpose something if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for.

I challenged myself to style our china cabinet without buying anything new because I wanted my creative juices to really flow. I’m proud to say I succeeded!

Thankfully, my late mother was a little bit of a hoarder, so I managed to find all of these gems inside our home.

Trust me, it definitely felt like I was on a scavenger hunt, and I found all the treasures!

Here are six styling tips I used to get this look:

1. Use pieces with different textures

Keeping to one texture can make the entire display look one-dimensional.

I used a mix of materials, including glass, ceramic, and rattan.

Each element brings its own unique texture and charm —glass adds a sleek, modern touch, ceramic offers a classic, artisanal feel, and rattan introduces warmth and a natural vibe.

This combination not only enhances the overall look but also adds depth and variety, making the arrangement more visually interesting.

2. Add height to give your arrangement contrast

In addition to mixing textures, it is important to add different heights to create contrast and visual balance.

Try stacking plates and layering mugs to add height, or use books as risers for an extra boost.

You can’t see it from the pictures, but I placed a few books inside my rattan tray to elevate my teapot!

3. Choose complementary colors

To achieve a cohesive look, stick to complementary colors.

Since my china cabinet is made of dark wood, I aimed for a moody aesthetic.

Instead of bright pastels, I opted for neutral tones like brown, green, amber, and ivory to tie the whole look together.

4. Give your pieces breathing space

Believe me, I know how tempting it is to display everything you own.

However, clutter makes things blend in, and not stand out.

If you have a lot of tableware to display, I suggest rotating your display once every couple of months.

5. Add a modern touch

A china cabinet can look very traditional so adding a modern touch is a great way to update it.

My china cabinet had aged brass hardware, which was starting to blend it with the dark wood.

I replaced them with new brass knobs, which added a nice pop of color to a dark piece of furniture.

6. Include things that mean something to you and your family

This is a styling tip I use for everything.

Adding sentimental things is what makes your home unique. They are what make your home YOU.

I made sure to keep my mom’s favorite serving ware because they remind me of when she used to cook hearty meals for us.

Pro tip: Not sure how many plants to include? Use odd numbers to make the indoor plant arrangement look casual and chic.

Arrange your indoor plants around statement furniture

Statement furniture looks great on its own but arranging indoor plants around them instantly upgrades the entire look.

Try arranging your indoor plants next to large furniture like a full-length mirror or a bar cart in your living room.

If the area doesn’t get much light, opt for a hardy plant like a tall ZZ plant or a money plant.

Dried foliage like large palm leaves and tall pampas grass are great alternatives for your indoor plant arrangement.

Tall and large indoor plants perfect for corners

1. Monstera Deliciosa – The monstera, also known as the Swiss cheese plant, is a beautiful indoor plant that works in practically any corner. However, it thrives under bright indirect light, so it is better off in an area that has large windows.

2. Birds of Paradise – With its broad vibrant green leaves, the birds of paradise plant is one of the most photogenic plants. It is also one of my fav plants because it reminds me of a tropical vacation!

3. ZZ plant – Ah, the one plant I didn’t water for five months and survived. This plant is almost impossible to kill.

Small indoor plants suitable for coffee tables

4. Peace lily – This plant is perfect for the coffee table – it’s beautiful, delicate, and surprisingly easy to care for.

5. Pilea – Don’t have room for a big plant? Try the pilea plant – it’s small yet cute enough to make a statement.

6. Snake plant – If your home lacks light, then the snake plant is your best bet. This plant is low-maintenance, which means it can pretty much thrive under any condition.

Medium indoor plants suitable for dining table centerpieces

7. Dried floral arrangement – Don’t have a green thumb? I got you. Use a dried floral arrangement like this one to soften your space. The best part? This arrangement lasts for years.

8. Autumn fern – I’m a sucker for a plant that has so much organic texture like the autumn fern. If you’re a fan of the Studio McGee look, you NEED this plant! Artificial option available here.

9. Orchids – Nothing is more elegant than having an orchid plant as a centerpiece for the dining table. This particular towering white orchid comes in a pretty blue and white pot that’s minimal yet chic.
