6 Amazing Prints To Discover For Your Gallery Wall Right Now

Here’s the thing – I’ve never been an “art” person. I have zero knowledge on art history and I don’t spend a lot of time visiting art museums. This probably explains why the walls in our home have remained blank. Since we’re probably going to stay at home until the end of 2020, I’m determined to add more character and color in our casa by putting together a gallery wall. If you, like me, are on a mission to spice up your white walls, here are 6 amazing prints to discover for your gallery wall right now.

BUDGET PRINTS

I get it – not everyone has the means to splurge on art. Yours truly included! However, that doesn’t mean we need to avoid art entirely. When it comes to affordable art, Etsy is an incredible and trustworthy resource. Here are two of my favorites:

Millamix

Known for: Mid-century modern art featuring the moon, sun, plants, landscapes and women. Her use of organic shapes and abstract lines transform common objects and views into captivating prints.

Color palette: Autumnal shades like terracotta, tan, beige, navy and black.

Price points: USD7 – USD20

Additional info: Digital downloads available. Get 50% off if you purchase 3 prints!

That Isle Life Pick: Mid Century Modern Sun and Moon Print Set. I went through her library of prints twice before I finally settled on these prints for our dining area. Firstly, our dining area needs a pop of color and I have a soft spot for this terracotta and tan combo. (Fun fact: I selected these colors for my wedding too!) Secondly, I love the idea that these two prints belong next to each other in our gallery wall. Our dining area faces a huge window, where my husband and I often witness many sunsets. I like to think of the motifs as a way of us feeling, “I thank the sun, the stars and the moon that I have you.”

Sisi and Seb

Known For: Beach/ocean and bohemian desert prints. Kathrin’s travel prints does an excellent job of evoking a sense of wanderlust within me.

Color Palette: Varies. Although her photography prints are not laser-sharp, I love the dreamy effect they portray.

Price Points: USD5 – USD25

That Isle Life Pick: Coastal Sea. Honestly, I had a hard time selecting just one but I’ve loved this particular one for months. I love the color, the composition, and the little heart-shaped hole in the middle of the giant rock. Kinda feels like I left my heart in the ocean, y’know?

AFFORDABLE PRINTS

Jasmine Dowling

Gallery Wall Prints - Studio Jasmine

Known For: Typography and still life imagery. Jasmine’s art selection may be small, but it sure is drop-dead gorgeous. She has a very distinct branding, which you can immediately pick up by looking at her work and social media.

Color Palette: Pastel pink, peach, nude with a sprinkle of yellow.

Price Points: USD18 – USD190

Additional Info: If you’re a fan of Jasmine’s work but don’t have the means to purchase her art, follow her on Instagram! Her branding is on-point and I’m obsessed with her pink aesthetic. Think of it as visiting a digital art gallery – for free!

That Isle Life Pick: Going Offline. I was torn between Going Offline and this, but ultimately decided on the former because come on, everyone needs a reminder to put their phones away and focus on what’s important in life.

Sabina Fenn

Known For: Tropical prints that make you want to take off on a holiday, and still-life fruit prints that look almost too good to eat. Sabina’s style reminds me a little of Matisse, but a lot more feminine and fun!

Color Palette: Colorful and vibrant. Her original paintings are done in watercolor so her prints have an organic feel to them.

Price Points: USD17 – USD60

That Isle Life Pick: Peaceful Morocco II. There’s something about Sabina’s art that looks so similar yet so different. It’s fascinating how each piece has so much detail. Peaceful Morocco II combines all of the elements I love in my everyday life: sea, plants, home decor and fashion (that chic wide-brimmed hat!)

PREMIUM PRINTS

Ingrid Beddoes

Known For: Fine art photography especially aerial shots of beaches. Her prints are minimal in nature but her overall aesthetic is very serene and dreamy.

Color Palette: Varies, but her popular beach aerial prints are often in soft pastel hues.

Price Points: USD60 – USD300

Additional Info: Ingrid has worked with many brands and retailers before but you may have spotted her work in Urban Outfitters.

That Isle Life Pick: Sea Bliss. As much as I love majority of Ingrid’s work, Sea Bliss has a special place in my heart. I first came across this beautiful imagery in early 2019 and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since. Besides being the first piece of work I’d ever seen from Ingrid, it was also the first piece that made me consider purchasing art. I’m definitely saving this for my next art purchase.

Kimmy Hogan

Gallery Wall Prints - KimmyHogan_FlowerBedII

Known For: Larger-than-life florals. Although Kimmy’s work is done digitally, each stroke is drawn and colored individually, making the piece resemble a real painting. Artwork can take days or weeks to complete.

Color Palette: Varies, but my favorites are her primarily pink ones with a hint of warm tones.

Price Points: USD42 – USD500+

Additional Info: Kimmy offers open edition and limited edition artworks. Open edition artworks are more affordable as they are always readily available. On the other hand, limited edition artworks are very exclusive and come in limited quantities. They are signed and numbered individually.

That Isle Life Pick: Flowerbed II. I’m a big fan of Kimmy so it was challenging selecting just one to be featured. That being said, Flowerbed II caught my eye first and I’ve been hooked since. Although I can’t afford her art now, securing one of her prints for my gallery wall is on my bucket list!
